Michał Mróz (1990) – film director, animator, graphic designer and animation historian. He holds a Master’s degree in Culture Studies at University of Warsaw and graphic designer diploma at Warsaw School of Advertising. Currently he is a PhD studant at University of Warsaw in the Section for Film and Visual Culture. He participates in the Film Research Team. His PhD research program focuses on the animated film during the World War II. He also is interested in the language and aesthetics of animated film. Co-author of the book Antropologia postaci w dziele filmowym (Warsaw, 2016).
Author of short animated films and winner multiple awards on the film festivals in Poland and abroad. He lectures in Warsaw School of Advertising and in the department of History of Visual Culture for Children „OKO”. He is the workshops leader in many educational projects such as social rehabilitation activities based on creating of puppet animated films. He received artistic scholarship of Warsaw and Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
