Michał Kurkowski (1989) – dramaturge, currently working at the Theatre Wybrzeże in Gdańsk. He completed his MA at the Academy of Theatre Arts in Cracow. He worked as an assistant of dramaturge Piotr Gruszczyński and with directors Andrzej Chyra and Mariusz Treliński. He
made an adaptation for stage of the following texts: King-Ghost by Juliusz Słowacki and the novel Cousin Bette by Honore Balzac, both directed by Małgorzata Warsicka. He also collaborated with the Theatre Polski in Warsaw, Shakespeare Festival in Gdańsk and Audioteka. His essays were published in “Akant” and “Konteksty”. In 2011 he received a scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
