Klaudia Rachubińska (1987) – master of psychology and cultural studies, Ph.D. student at the Institute of Polish Culture, member of the Fashion and Design Research Group and the Practices of Late Modernity Research Group, secretary of the Section for Film and Visual Culture. She is the co-author and co-editor of Narracje – estetyki – geografie. Fluxus w trzech aktach [Narratives – Aesthetics – Geographies. Fluxus in Three Acts] (2014), co-editor of Bądźmy realistami, żądajmy niemożliwego. Utopie i fantazje w modzie i dizajnie [Let’s Be Realists and Demand The Impossible. Utopias and Fantasies in Fashion and Design] (2014). Author of articles in „Kwartalnik Filmowy”, „Kultura Popularna”, „Zeszyty Literackie”. She has taught courses in anthropology of visual culture and an elective course How to read a horror film?.
Her academic interests include visual and performative methods of identity construction, second and third wave feminist thought, gender and queer studies, gender in popular music, the intersection of sound and visuality, performance art, intermedia and the Fluxus art international. She is a member of the art and research group Grupa ETC.
She is currently working on her Ph.D. thesis devoted to the critical effectiveness and political potential of anti-glamour strategies in women’s popular music.
