Katarzyna Kułakowska (1986) – holds an M.A. in Cultural Studies; specialization – Culture Animation. Her research focuses on the experience of women associated with Polish counter-culture theatre. She cooperates with the Theatre Institute in Warsaw, Collective Research and ‘Observatory’ Foundation. Member of the Polish Association for Theatre Research. She is currently working on an individual research project titled „The Counter-Culture Theatrical Movement in Poland From the Perspective of its Female Participants” (funded by the Polish National Science Center). The main purpose of the project is to analyze experiences of selected women, who were part of this movement, and examine their interpretations in form of biographical narratives they constructed and the theatrical activity they participated in. She is also involved in the research project „HyPaTia. History of Polish Theatre. Feminist research Project”.
She is the author of the book Miasto płci. Dyskurs miłosny Marii Peszek [Gender City. The Lover’s Discourse of Maria Peszek] (2013).
