Jacek Pająk (1987) – sound engineer, graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and Warsaw University of Technology. He is preparing his doctoral thesis in the Section for Film and Visual Culture about sound in Polish feature film. He participates in the work of the Film Research Team.
His academic interests revolve around the ontology and aesthetics of sound, as well as relations between sound, viewers and the characters of a film. Professionally, he records and creates the audio layer in films (cooperation on creating sound in: Papusza, Jesteś Bogiem, Bitwa Warszawska 1920, Kamienie na szaniec, Miasto 44. He is also interested in copyright law in cinematography. Member of The Polish Filmmakers Association.
Together with Seweryn Kuśmierczyk he taught the class Laboratory of Feature Film Analysis.
