Amudena Rutkowska

Amudena Rutkowska – ethnographer and cultural anthropologist, Ph.D. student in the Section of History of Culture. Curator of the folk and unprofessional art collection at the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw. She conducts research on contemporary forms of carnival and masquerades in Poland and is interested in the history of ‘village fair’ culture and the circulation of books and prints in folk and popular culture at the turn of the 20th century. Member of the international research project “Carnival King of Europe,” coordinator of “Women’s carnival” project.
