PhD student at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at the University of Warsaw, graduate of the Institute of Polish Culture, where she graduated in cultural studies with a specialization in visual culture, and a graduate of film studies at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She is currently studying gender studies at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
She researches queer performances of the Polish club scene, primarily focusing on ballroom and drag culture. She is preparing her PhD under the supervision of Marcin Bogucki and Piotr Morawski.
She was awarded the 5th edition of the Warsaw City Council grant for doctoral students for the project “What Can Warsaw’s Ballroom Culture Teach Warsaw? Creating Safe Cultural Spaces for New Queer Varsovians” („Czego kultura ballroomowa może nauczyć Warszawę? Tworzenie bezpiecznych przestrzeni kultury dla nowych queerowych warszawiaków i warszawianek”). She has published in “Kultura współczesna”, “Didaskalia”, “Dziennikartwo i media” and “Adeptus”, among others. A member of the international MoDrag collective creating exhibitions in collaboration with drag artists.
