Joanna Piechura is a literary critic and editor at MINT Magazine, as well as a PhD student at the University of Warsaw’s American Studies Center and the Institute of Polish Culture. She is a recipient of the 2026/2027 Harry Ransom Center Fellowship and the “Perły Nauki” grant awarded by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science. Her research interests include 20th-century innovative fiction, exile literature, and multilingualism in the works of contemporary writers. Her essays and reviews have appeared in Pamiętnik Literacki, Autobiografia. Literatura. Kultura. Media, Literatura na Świecie, Dwutygodnik, Przekrój Magazine, RIHA Journal, and others. She is the author of a monograph on the Polish avant-garde writer Jan Brzękowski, entitled Krótkie prozy Jana Brzękowskiego (1903-1983) w świetle jego twórczości emigracyjnej.
