Assistant Professor at the Cultural History Section, the Workshop for Urban Studies and the Research Group on the Theories and Practices of Socialism and Communism. Her research interests involve housing policies and dwelling culture, the history of modern Czech culture and Central European urban culture, as well as the idea of ​​degrowth and ecosocialism.

Author of book Europa Środkowa w tekstach i działaniach. Polskie i czeskie dyskusje [Central Europe in texts and actions. Polish and Czech discussions, 2016] and co-editor of books Awangarda/Underground. Idee, historie, praktyki w kulturze polskiej i czeskiej [Avant-garde/Underground. Ideas, histories, practices in Czech and Polish culture, 2018] and  Ćwiczenia z mieszkania. Praktyki, polityki, estetyki [Dwelling exercises. Practices, policies, aesthetics, 2018]. Author of articles published in journals such as “Contradictions: A Journal for Critical Thought”, “Kultura współczesna”, “Teksty drugie”, “Czas kultury”, “Studia litteraria et historica”.

Principal investigator in the research project „Traps of Industrialization, Temptations of Consumption, the Search for “Harmonious Progress” and Care for Earth’s Future. Environmental Challenges in socialist Poland (1944-1989)” (2021-2023, IDUB Programme). 

Recipient of the Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scholars (2019) and Zdenek Pešat’s Scholarship at the Institute of Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague (2017).

She teaches classes on housing policies (connected with a blog with articles written by students), Czech culture, ideas and forms of social activism, cultural history of the 20th century, and alternative socio-economic projects. Co-organizer of the international Josefov Summer School. She is involved in popularizing knowledge about the climate and ecological crises. Together with  Kornelia Sobczak, PhD, she organizes a series of meetings and lectures devoted to this topic.
