PhD Candidate in Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Warsaw. Graduate of the College of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw where he majored in cultural studies with complementary classes in psychology and philosophy. He is preparing a doctoral thesis on film diaristic practices under the supervision of dr. hab. Justyna Jaworska. He has published in: „Kwartalnik Filmowy”, „Widok”, „Kultura Współczesna”, „Pleograf”, „Ekrany”. His interests include the intersection of cinema and philosophy, psychoanalysis and affect theory. Member of Collegium Invisibile.
He is the Principle Investiagor in the „Pearls of Science” research grant (formerly known as the „Diamond Grant”) „Filmmaking as an Identity Project. Autoanalytical Images in the Perspective of Affect Theory” (2023-2027) funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. He also works as a Co-Investigaor in the research project „Odmieńcy. Performances of Otherness in Polish Transition Culture” led by dr. Dorota Sosnowska and funded by the National Science Centre.
He is a laureate of the Minister of Education and Science Scholarship for the best BA and MA Students (2020-2022) and recipient of The Best MA Thesis Award (1st prize) in VIII Prof. Ewelina Nurczyńska-Fidelska Competition for the best MA Theses on Polish cinema (2023). Participant of the School of Criticism and Theory at Cornell University (2023) and Visiting Graduate Student at the University of Toronto during the winter semester of 2023/2024.
His hobby is film criticism. He was awarded the 1st prize in „Krytyk Pisze” competition organised by IX „Kamera Akcja” Film Festival (2018) and received a distinction in the XXVI Krzysztof Mętrak competition for film critics.
