Associate Professor at the Section of Film and Visual Culture. Her main fields of interest include: Polish cinema (especially from the period of the Polish People’s Republic), Polish visual culture of the 19th and 20th centuries, history of customs; fashion studies; theory of popular culture. She has recently worked on the cinema of the 1970s from the perspective of socialist consumerism, “poor images” and the “Polish queer”. Currently, she is interested in the 1980s. Author of books: Cywilizacja „Przekroju”. Misja obyczajowa w magazynie ilustrowanym [Civilization of “Przekrój”. Mission of morals in an illustrated magazine, 2008], nominated for the Gdynia Literary Award in the Essay Category and „Piękne widoki, panowie, stąd macie”. O kinie polskiego sockonsumpcjonizmu  [“Beautiful Views, Gentlemen, You Have Here”. About the Cinema of Polish Socialist Consumptionism, 2019], which earned the Bolesław Michałek Award for the best book about cinema in 2018 and 2019 and the Award of the Polish Film and Media Research Association for a book on film studies. She is the co-author of the volume Obyczaje polskie. Wiek XX w krótkich hasłach [Polish Customs. The 20th Century in Short Entries, 2008] and of the text-book Antropologia ciała [Anthropology of the Body, 2008].
