Joanna Anczaruk – PhD student at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Warsaw. Academically she works in the fields of cultural anthropology and philosophy of religion, mainly examining contemporary forms of spirituality from a postsecular perspective and the influence of religious symbolism on the formation of a modern image of the world in culture. Among others, she published an article titled Coming Out as a Rite of Passage: A New Metaphysics of Shaping Identity in “Stan Rzeczy”. The paper was based on the results of research on the diaries of LGBTQ+ people. Her doctoral thesis project focuses on the concept of profane illumination and its use in the anthropological description of everyday experience.
