Piotr Morawski (1980) – Assistant Professor in the Section for Theatre and Performance; cultural researcher and cultural historian. He deals mainly with the history of cultural performances. He dissertation, written in the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was devoted to medieval religious performances. Currently, his research focuses on performances of the Polish Enlightenment, and 18th century Polish theatre. He also writes on contemporary theatre and its cultural and social circumstances.
Since 2008, he is a member of the editorial board of the „Dialog” journal. He also collaborates the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute – recently on the project „Teatr Publiczny. Przedstawienia” [Public Theatre. Plays] and on the electronic encyclopedia of Polish theatre. Secretary of the Polish Society for Theatre Research (2012-2016). Author of Ustanawianie świętości [Performing the Sacred] (2015).
