Dorota Sajewska (1975) – Assistant Professor in the Section for Theatre and Performance, Institute of Polish Culture, University of Warsaw. She teaches theater history, performance studies, and theories of intermedia. Her main interests relate to issues of mediality and politics of theatre, as well as contemporary theories of body, documentation and performance. She is the author of two books: „Chore sztuki”. Choroba/tożsamość/dramat [“Sick Plays” Sickness/Identity/Drama] (2005) and Pod okupacją mediów [Under the Occupation of Media] (2012); co-author and co-editor of the anthology RE//MIX. Performans i dokumentacja [RE//MIX. Performance and Documentation] (2014), co-translator of Hans-Thies Lehmann’s Postdramatic Theatre. She has published many essays on theatre and performance practices, and translated from German several theatre plays. In 2008–2012 she was the chief-dramaturg and deputy artistic director of Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw.
