Cities and Animals – Conference organised by the Urban Studies Team

10 AM – 5:30 PM

Cities and Animals

Conference organised by the Urban Studies Team at the Institute of Polish Culture and the Praga Museum of Warsaw in the context of the exhibition The 90th Birthday of the Warsaw ZOO

The conference is devoted to the relationships between human beings and animals in the urban space. We will focus on cultural practices and narrations which define and shape these relationships. Researchers from scientific centres of Poland (and beyond) will analyse specific problems in several cities, both contemporary and past. We want this meeting to be a platform for discussion about the possibilities and challenges of carrying out the research on animals in the field of the urban studies.
