Anthropology and architecture. Projects’ final exhibition
Anthropology and architecture – workshop project is an interdisciplinary project of Faculty of Architecture – Warsaw University of Technology and Institute of Polish Culture – Warsaw University students. Participants have taken various actions associated with two selected spaces in Warsaw – Three Crosses Square and Roman Dmowski Roundabout. Culture anthropologists’ task was to prepare multiperspective diagnosis of actual urban space usage and its users necessities on the basis of analysis of existing sources and fieldwork. Architects’ task was to propose reorganisation of public spaces in order to show possibilities of bringing back these squares into city life.
The main aim of the this year’s project edition is to encounter two perspectives on city: anthropological and architectural and what is more to elaborate method of cooperation between them.
All activities resulted in architectural projects including conclusions of anthropological analysis accompanied by anthropological comment.
